Challenge

Last summer I struggled to track which campsites actually worked for hammock camping. I was driving site-to-site and dumping notes in my phone, which got messy fast.

Solution

I built a React Native app to quickly log campsite details in the field: site number, rating, hammock-friendly status, Starlink/cell signal, and notes. It also supports cloud save and non-campground ("stealth") locations. Site: sitequest.me • Demo: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/5zfGbq5nhag

Impact

The app was approved for production by Google and now it is live for everyone on the planet with an Android phone. It will (hopefully) help hundreds of campers log and find better campsites, and I have a roadmap of new features to keep improving it.

Challenge

Admins and I were spending hours each week manually creating training accounts and building NYSED certification reports.

Solution

I wrote a ColdFusion automation tied to the PayPal API to create accounts and send personalized onboarding emails after payment. I also added a scheduled job to generate and email the NYSED report weekly.

Impact

Saved 5+ admin hours weekly and removed repetitive manual work. User completions started reaching the state in days instead of weeks.

Challenge

When the pandemic hit, districts had no digital daily screening process for students or staff.

Solution

I built a ColdFusion app for daily parent-submitted screenings with real-time admin reporting. It was requested in August and fully deployed by September reopening.

Impact

It was adopted by multiple districts and screened thousands of students daily before being retired post-pandemic.

Districts needed a clean online way for parents to browse and register for summer programs.

Solution

I built a ColdFusion app for parent registration, plus admin tools for teachers to manage rosters and district leaders to monitor trends across programs.

Parents had an easier registration flow, staff got practical admin tools, and districts gained usable planning data.

Challenge

I needed a better way to stand out for full-time roles than job boards and blind resume submissions.

Solution

I built a fast portfolio that highlights my skills, experience, and personality with skimmable stats, case studies, and a few fun easter eggs.
