About Me
I'm Andy — a full-stack developer with a preference for creative chaos. I've spent over a decade building web apps that (mostly) do what they're supposed to — and sometimes even more.
I love making things pretty just as much as I love automating boring shit — whether that's streamlining admin work, managing data, or making UI elements just nice enough for someone to ask, “Wait… you built that?”
When I'm not coding, I'm probably tinkering with my 3D printers, cutting vinyl decals, or taking my Kawasaki Ninja out for a spin. You might also find me losing Rocket League matches, wandering around Azeroth, or finding new ways to bring digital ideas into the real world. Basically — if it involves building cool shit, I'm all in.
Mini Case Studies
Here are a few problems I have ran into over the past couple years and a short description of what I came up with to fix them.
Automating several functions for State Trainings
Challenge: Admins and I were wasting hours every week manually creating dozens of user accounts for state trainings. I also needed to manually generate a report to send to NYSED for the users to get their official certification.
Solution: Wrote a ColdFusion script that ties into the PayPal API to automatically create user accounts and send personalized instructional emails after a successful payment. I also wrote a scheduled task that generates and emails the NYSED report automatically every week. Previously, my users had to wait up to 2 weeks to get their completion uploaded to the state.
Impact: Saved 5+ hours of admin time weekly and cut out repetitive, mind-numbing work entirely. My users are also happy that their completions are uploaded within days instead of weeks.
Daily COVID Screening for Multiple School Districts
Challenge: When the pandemic hit, schools had no digital screening process for students or staff.
Solution: Built a ColdFusion web app that let parents complete daily student health screenings and gave administrators detailed real-time reports. It was requested in August and fully deployed by September when schools reopened.
Impact: Adopted by multiple school districts, screening thousands of students daily. Thankfully, it was retired once COVID finally chilled out.
Summer Camp Registration System
Challenge: Districts needed a simple way for parents to browse and register for summer programs online.
Solution: Developed a ColdFusion web app where parents could explore camps and register their kids. Added an admin interface for teachers to manage rosters and another for district leaders to view stats and trends across all programs.
Impact: Parents found it effortless, teachers loved the admin tools, and the district finally got real data to plan future camps intelligently.

Challenge: I want to find a new permanent job opportunity. Normal job boards and blindly sending resumes out is not working. (One hell of a challenge!)
Solution: A modern, fast portfolio site that highlights my skills, experience, and personality. It has some numbers, some skill tags, a few case studies, and a few secrets sprinkled in 😉
Impact: Hasnt been tested yet, but I am hoping for the best. You tell me if it is effective or not!
